Sun shines on Macquarie Park community for MPEXPO!

Hundreds enjoyed MPEXPO – Macquarie Park Innovation Showcase - in glorious sunshine on Wednesday. Did our photographer spot you?

Staged on Banfield Road as a one-day innovation-themed street festival, MPEXPO brought our community back together again after months of lockdowns and remote work.

Optus, Fujifilm Business Innovation AUS, Schneider Electric, Novartis, and other leading local workplaces showed off their innovative products, processes, and people, and Macquarie University introduced the talent of tomorrow at their graduate success stand.

Inspiring speakers Michael McQueen, Katerina Kimmorley and ABC TV’s James O’Loghlin took to the event stage. Local leaders in the spotlight included the NSW Government’s 24-hour Economy Commissioner, representatives from the City of Ryde and Macquarie Exchange, plus business, start-ups, and academia.

Event attendees met new Macquarie Park neighbours, including the “sky blues” Sydney FC, and Stockland’s M_Park, plus WISE Specialist Emergency Clinic.

Mouth-watering food trucks catered for the lunch time crowd, who enjoyed garden games in our outdoor lounge, live music, street art and entertainment.

MPEXPO was staged by Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District: a unique not-for-profit partnership. Connect MPID works with leading organisations to build the community, profile and output of Macquarie Park.

MPEXPO was made possible with the support of the NSW Government’s CBDs Revitalisation Program, and with logistical support from the City of Ryde.
